Ultimate transparent passive preamp? TVC
Why TVC? Unlike carbon pot volume control, TVC doesn’t alternate volume by burning signal into heat. Therefore all details are preserved even at a very low volume listening level.
We use silver components on the signal path, from input RCA to hookup wire, to toggle switch then to output RCA. Result is a very transparent sound.
Django is 100% quiet
In itself, Django never introduces any noise. That’s the advantage over any active preamp.
Since the signals go through a transformer where the primary and secondary are separated, Django has the potential to remove ground noise.

3. Add control toggle switches
- 1 x 4P2T if there are both XLR and RCA
- 1 x 4P2T if you want 0dB/6B gain selection
- 1 x 2P2T if you want floating ground selection. We will give you a free ground post if you need it.
4. Add hookup wires
Usually, 5 meters is sufficient for our chassis with 4 pairs input and 1 pair XLR
- 24awg/0.5mm High Purity Soft-annealed Silver Wire and Teflon Piping (meter)
- Premium audio grade silver soldering wire from Japan (per meter)
- Premium audio grade silver soldering wire from Japan (roll of 100g)
5. Add chassis

- 37 x 23mm Solid Aluminum Knob for 6mm shaft
